Strike Out The Stigma

You Are Collective presents Strike Out The Stigma, a two-day slo-pitch tournament where local charities face off for their chance to win the top prize donation for their initiative or organization. As a kick-off to mental illness awareness week, we're looking for local charities or initiatives to don their finest baseball tee’s all in an effort to spread awareness about their resources as well as share their stories.

We want to break down the barriers of mental health and make this an open environment to discuss our mental health and illness, experiences, challenges, and resources to foster the community- within the community. From local vendors to food trucks to community resources and open conversations this tournament is all about community and sharing in the idea that you are not alone. Teams are invited to set up a booth to share their cause, tools, and ways to get involved for spectators and participants to enjoy. Public entry is donation-based and will be used to fund the winning prizes! It’s time to #strikeoutthestigma!

Fine Print:

The first eight teams to register will receive a spot in the October 5th and 6th tournament, please be advised charities and non-profits will receive priority, you may be wait listed. There is a $100 registration fee that includes your team's weekend of game play as well as a space for a booth/table to represent your organization. Game rosters require 10-15 players ages 12+, comprised of whomever you choose to represent your charity. Registered teams will have a guaranteed three games with a possible fourth in the finals. Every participating charity goes home with a donation, sponsored by some of our outstanding community partners! This all-inclusive event is family-friendly and You Are Collective reserves the right to remove or disqualify individuals or teams if they deem it necessary due to fairness, safety or security matters.
